01 / THE QUESTION

From a sample to a signal.

How can a biological sample become information that helps identify disease? My work at the Badu-Tawiah Research Lab focused on mass-spectrometry diagnostics and biomarker analysis.

02 / METHODS IN PRACTICE

Precision begins with the process.

The experience brought together paper-spray ionization and immunoassay techniques. Developing experimental protocols meant attending to the sequence of steps that makes an assay usable.

03 / CONTRIBUTION

Building the experimental groundwork.

I formulated protocols for paper-spray ionization and contributed to disease-detection bioassays, gaining experience in the experimental groundwork behind diagnostic research.
