01 / LEARNING THROUGH TRYING

Look toward where you want to go.

Teaching myself to snowboard was a process of trial and error. A fall called for another adjustment: where I looked, how I balanced, and how I responded to momentum.

02 / A DIFFERENT LANDSCAPE

The lesson travelled with me.

Moving to Columbus took me far from the mountains I knew. Recalibrating on a slope became a way to think about transferring to an American high school and adapting to an unfamiliar team environment.

03 / FROM ME TO WE

Balance can come from other people.

Basketball introduced another kind of uncertainty. Learning to ask questions and lean on teammates helped me look beyond my own mistakes and notice the pressures others carried.
